Expert Consulting

DRANCO’s expert consulting service includes a pre-planned biological monitoring of the installation and the generation of consulting reports. Depending on your preferences, monitoring can be performed on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. Regular sampling and analysis of both influent and effluent streams allow for close tracking of the anaerobic digester’s biological health, process stability, and early detection of deviations.

In parallel, operational data are systematically reviewed to assess whether process conditions remain within optimal ranges and whether the targeted biogas yield and performance objectives are being achieved.

The results of these analyses are compiled into clear, recurring reports that summarize key findings, trends, and recommendations. These reports provide transparent insight into process performance over time and serve as a basis for informed operational decisions and continuous optimization discussions.

Why should you do it?

By outsourcing the biological monitoring to us, you eliminate concerns related to the biological process. DRANCO relies on extensive know-how, built up through years of internal research. The broad portfolio of installations that we actively monitor also allows us to apply experience gained from other installations directly to your system. Naturally, full consideration is given to the confidentiality of your data.

Frequent analysis and consulting are not only aimed at achieving maximum potential but also serve as a preventive measure. The costs associated with unexpected shutdowns and/or prolonged biological recovery periods often outweigh the cost of our analysis and consulting services.

What do we need?

We require samples of the feedstock substrate and of the digestate from the digester. Specifically, we need the following samples according to the agreed frequency:

  • Feedstock sample: ± 1.5 kg
  • Digestate samples:
    • Large sample: ± 1.5 kg
    • Small sample: ± 0.5 kg

In addition, we also require a regular overview of the operational data. This overview must include at least the following:

  • Reactor content (tons and/or m³)
  • Mixing ratio feedstock/digestate (%) *
  • Feedstock input (tons/day)
  • Digestate extraction (tons/day)
  • Biogas production (Nm³/day)
  • Methane production (Nm³/day)
  • Digestate temperature (°C)

* This can also be recalculated based on the feeding rate and the digestate recirculation rate.

What do we deliver?

We translate the combination of analyses and operational data into a concrete feeding schedule, always aiming to achieve maximum potential. We also provide advice when adjustments are needed and issue warnings in case of abnormal values. Both are delivered via email at an agreed frequency. Your contact person is available to answer any questions regarding the biological process operation.

Periodic reports are also prepared according to the monitoring frequency. These reports are issued quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. They provide a clear overview of the past period and discuss key findings and potential improvement recommendations.

Whether you're starting a new project or improving an existing one, LCS delivers tailored insights to boost your plant’s performance.
