DRANCO-FARM, dry AD technology for agricultural waste
DRANCO-FARM is a high-efficiency dry anaerobic digestion system designed to convert organic substrates, such as energy crops or agro-industrial byproducts, into renewable energy.
This AD technique is ideal to digest maize, sunflowers, grass and other high-solid organic waste. It is also well-suited to handle pure industrial by-products such as glycerine, rapeseed press cake and dried distiller grains.
Our expertise
How our technology is engineered
DRANCO-FARM uses a vertical, plug-flow fermenter that operates continuously under thermophilic or mesophilic conditions, with minimal heating and intensive digestate recycling. Because of its modern engineering, this process is continuous, compact, and highly efficient.
The design behind
our process
We use high-solids, one-phase anaerobic digestion, ensuring high biogas productivity in a compact digester that avoids crust formation or sedimentation. The vertical digester with conical outlet allows continuous extraction from the lowest point, preventing accumulation and minimizing the required footprint. By operating without internal mixing, stirring, or gas injection, the system reduces maintenance while ensuring maximum reliability.
Efficiency and added value
DRANCO-FARM guarantees optimal mixing of fresh feedstock with digestate. Thermophilic operation (48–55°C) boosts biogas yield, improves process efficiency, and eliminates pathogens. Fully automated process control ensures safe operation, and the industrial design requires no additional water or liquid manure, making DRANCO-FARM a robust, low-maintenance solution for sustainable energy production.
