1. Job Description

You will be part of the Automation and E&I department and work closely with colleagues in a multidisciplinary project and engineering team.

Initially, you will mainly be involved in the realization of a state-of-the-art processing plant for organic household waste (GFT) in the Noorderkempen region. However, broader involvement in other projects, both domestically and internationally, is also possible.

As a Project Engineer, you will prepare the electrical and instrumentation schematics, calculations, documentation, and designs required for the project at the office. On site, you will be responsible for inspecting electrical cabling and hardware installed by third parties, troubleshooting related issues, and supporting the commissioning of the control system in collaboration with commissioning engineers. Your tasks also include fault analysis, customer support, and optimization of control programs, the electrical installation, and instrumentation. You will regularly participate in meetings with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

You will report to the Head of Automation and E&I.

2. Required Profile

  • Higher technical education (Master of Industrial Sciences or Engineering Sciences, or Professional Bachelor) in a field relevant to the position;
  • Several years of relevant experience;
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems; knowledge of medium-voltage systems is an asset;
  • Preferably knowledge of and experience with Eplan;
  • Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA programming (Siemens TIA Portal, PCS7, etc.) is a plus;
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • High attention to accuracy and punctuality;
  • Strong commitment and flexibility;
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and stress;
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English; additional languages are an asset;
  • In addition to solid theoretical insight, sufficient practical skills and a willingness to take a hands-on approach.
